The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute (CPI) is holding an event on Friday 11th November 2016 from 8:30-11a.m at the House of the Union of Cyprus Journalists in Nicosia to inaugurate the commencement of the pilot implementation of ATS2020 ( Assessment of transversal skills) project, in Cyprus- an EU-funded project of which CPI is the project coordinator on European level.The event will also inaugurate the implementation of MENTEP- an EU-funded project promoting Technology-Enhanced Pedagogy in which CPI as well as the Ministry of Education and Culture participate as partners.
Keynote speaker at the event will be the Minister of Education and Culture, Dr Costas Kadis. The event will be opened by Dr Athina Michaelidou- Euripidou, Director of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute. A welcome address will also be delivered by Dr Kyprianos Louis, Head of Secondary Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
During the event which is addressed to teachers, headteachers, Education inspectors, and policy makers, Mrs Anastasia Economou, Head of the Department of Educational Technology at Cyprus Pedagogical Institute will present in detail the aims and activities of ATS project. Dr George Koutsides inspector of Secondary Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture will present MENTEP project.
