Kamp-Lintfort in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) was host of the teacher CPD event “MoodleTreff” on 21 and 22 February, 2017. More than 100 teachers attended the meeting to broaden and deepen their skills in deploying digital tools for education.
Andrea Ghoneim, ATS2020 partner from Danube University Krems (Austria), opened the event with a keynote on “Digitale Bildung, Digitale Kompetenzen und Bildungstechnologien” (Digital Education, Digital Competencies, and Educational Technologies). The audience followed with great interest, as “Education in a Digital World” is the title of a seminal strategy of the Kultusministerkonferenz (Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany).
To show examples of how digital education can help students to become autonomous and lifelong learners, the keynote was illustrated with examples from the ATS2020 project, pointing participants at the ATS2020 resources portal (http://resources.ats2020.eu/) and further Learning Designs elaborated for learner centered and assessment based learning.
The slides of the presentation (in German) can be downloaded at the Mahara space of ATS2020 (http://mahara.ats2020.eu/view/view.php?id=177).
